How many times
have you felt as if you're adrift in the world? You work hard, but you don't
seem to get anywhere.
The reason that
you may feel this way is that you probably haven't spent enough time thinking
about what you want from life, and
haven't set yourself any goals. After all, would you go on a journey with no real idea of your
destination?
Goal setting is a powerful process that helps you think about your future, and motivates yourself
to turn dreams into reality.
The
process of setting goals helps
you choose where you want to go in life. Once you know what you want to
achieve, you know where you have to concentrate your efforts on.
From my
personal point of view, goal setting is really important and motivating. As I´ve
said, it is a process for thinking about your ideal future, and for motivating
yourself to turn your vision of this future into reality. And as we all know,
doing what we love makes us happy, and that is what all is about.
So my
suggestion is the following one. Take a notebook and write everything you always
wanted to do. Write everything that comes to your mind. Then, read it and
organize the goals into two different groups. The first group will be the short
term goals list. This first list will contain the most realistic and easy ones
to achieve. Try to achieve one each month .The second list will be the long
term goals list. We will put the biggest ones here.
We can
write it down on a bigger paper and put in on our room so that we can see it
every day and gives us extra motivation to achieve them.
So there you have another suggestion. It is
something that really works for me and that I wanted to share so that others
can give it a try and see if it is effective as well.
