A couple of summers ago I
completed another “to do” on my bucket list. All started when my family and I
decided to go on a tour vacation around Italy.
We took a plane in Madrid
and set off to a two week adventure. We had a quite warm welcome because as
soon as we arrived to Florence, which was the first city we visited, we were
told that our suitcase was lost. However,on the next morning the airport staff, who were so
kind and helpful , called us to tell that the luggage was in our hotel room
waiting for us.
After visiting Florence for
a couple of days we hired a car and went on a road trip around the lovely
Tuscany. We visited some of the cutest little villages but Sienna was by far my
favourite one. We also were lucky enough to witness one of the most amazing
sunsets.
Next day we took another
plane and flied to Rome. I liked it but I must confess that I felt a bit
disappointed at the beginning. However, when I went back to the capital the
following winter I appreciated it more. I found it prettier somehow. So I would
personally recommend going to Rome on winter.
And after some days on
Rome we finally arrived in Venice. I loved it and I think that Venice in summer
is just magical. We also visited another two little islands called Murano and
Burano that I also highly recommend.
The last that we were
staying in Venice, I gave a surprise to my family and I invited them to go on a
gondola ride. Our gondolier Alessandro who claimed to be a descendant of
Giacomo Casanova was no nice and showed us around. I really had a blast and I
recommend it to everyone.
So this is a brief story of
how I went on a gondola ride and completed another task on my bucket list. And as usual I'm sharing with you some
pictures that I took on that trip as well as the one that gives testimony of
how I completed this objective.
